SERVICES

Pool Servicing

To help you enjoy your pool year-round and enable you to take that dip whenever you need it, regular servicing is required. This will help you to keep the water free from the buildup of any bacteria or algae and ensure that you maintain the perfect chemical balance from a health perspective.

When you ask us to service your pool for you, we will go through a set process each time that we visit. We will also conduct some other work every now and again to check other pieces of equipment.

To begin with, we’ll make sure that the water level is always right and that it doesn’t fall below the level of the pump intake. This can happen during a long hot or dry spell, or if the pool is in active use for long periods of time. After all, should the pump be deprived of water it could overheat and fail.

We will then have a look at the chemical balance of the pool and add the appropriate solution if needed. For example, our readings may tell us to add calcium hypochlorite (more commonly known as chlorine) to help disinfect the water.

We will also monitor the water pressure and clean the lint filter and skimmer basket to get rid of any accumulated debris. This is particularly important if your pool is surrounded by trees and not protected by a canopy of any kind.

While we are there, we will also have a look at the equipment and pipework to check for the presence of any leaks.

Periodically, we will brush the walls of the pool and vacuum the floor thoroughly.

Pool Equipment Repairs and Maintenance

Sample Title

Your swimming pool relies on a number of different mechanical components that will, from time to time, need to be serviced or repaired. We have experience in all these areas and can help you with preventative maintenance or come out to fix something as and when needed.

For example, you may experience an issue with the pump, as it may fail to activate, turn itself off or make a strange noise. We may need to clear, repair or replace the impeller or swap out the capacitor. On rare occasions, we may have to replace the pump itself.

Sometimes, water will get into the underwater lighting system and we may have to find the source, correct the issue and test everything.

Occasionally, we may have to simply replace the bulbs; this can be very tricky for somebody who does not have experience working in an underwater location. Occasionally, your pool may start to lose a lot of water. This can happen if it has sprung a leak somewhere. We can perform tests to confirm if it has sprung a leak or not, or whether the problem may just be evaporation. If it is a leak, we can perform further investigations to determine and recommend the specialist help you will require.

Supply and Installation of New Pool Equipment

You and your family will want to spend as much time as possible in or around the pool. It may make sense to upgrade some of the existing equipment or add new technology to make your time even more enjoyable.

For example, you may want to add a robotic cleaner that can help to get rid of leaves and other debris in between our regular cleaning visits. There are many different types of robots available, from pressure cleaners to suction-activated devices. We can advise you on what to choose based on the size or shape of the pool and its construction.

You may want to protect the water and your filtration system as much as you can when the pool is not in use and may decide to install a cover for this purpose. After all, a cover may help you to maintain the general temperature of the water at night and reduce evaporation so you can extend the swimming season as much as possible.

Perhaps you want to extend your swimming season year-round and may want to install a heating system. A heat pump is one of the most energy efficient options here. You can discuss your needs with us so that we can advise you accordingly.
